Il nostro progetto ha l&#8217;ambizione di occuparsi di tutti gli aspetti della rimozione del carbonio: la cattura, la produzione, la vendita di crediti di carbonio e lo <strong>stoccaggio della CO<sub>2<\/sub><\/strong>. Quest&#8217;ultimo aspetto \u00e8 fondamentale per poter affermare di aver effettivamente rimosso la CO<sub>2<\/sub> dall&#8217;atmosfera.<\/p>\n<p>Per noi, la migliore garanzia della permanenza del processo di rimozione \u00e8 il passaggio di stato dell\u2019anidride carbonica, ovvero la sua trasformazione da gas a qualcosa di pi\u00f9 stabile: un <strong>minerale<\/strong>. La geochimica, che studia i minerali e le interazioni che avvengono tra la roccia e il fluido che la attraversa, \u00e8 essenziale per dare solidit\u00e0 scientifica al nostro progetto.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Come fa la CO<sub>2<\/sub> a diventare minerale?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Niente magia, solo chimica. A contatto con rocce specifiche, CO<sub>2<\/sub> e acqua reagiscono con i minerali delle rocce dissolvendone alcuni e formandone altri, fissando in <strong>forma solida<\/strong> la molecola di Carbonio che prima era libera di muoversi allo stato gassoso.<\/p>\n<p>Il nostro team sta lavorando per trovare le rocce giuste, con i minerali e le caratteristiche fisiche corrette, perch\u00e9 questa reazione spontanea avvenga in tempi rapidi.
