We’re proud to announce CarpeCarbon’s participation in Venice Climate Week 2025 in its first edition. On June 7, our COO Chiara D’Adamo joined the Climate Tech panel, held live at the iconic Arsenale di Venezia, to share CarpeCarbon’s perspective on the role of carbon removal technologies in the sustainable transition.
Venice Climate Week marks an important moment for Italy’s climate innovation ecosystem. Bringing together institutions, entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors, the event highlights how climate action is increasingly becoming a driver of industrial transformation and long-term competitiveness.
The afternoon was co-curated by Cleantech for Italy, in collaboration with VeniSIA, and brought together startups, investors, and thought leaders from across the clean tech ecosystem. The conversation covered a broad spectrum of cutting-edge solutions – from carbon capture and smart buildings to nature co-design and future farming – reflecting the systemic nature of the climate challenge.
During the panel, Chiara presented CarpeCarbon’s approach to Direct Air Capture (DAC) and the importance of integrating CO₂ removal and utilization into industrial processes, particularly in hard-to-abate sectors. She emphasized that climate technologies must not only be scalable and science-based, but also rooted in local context – just as Venice, both fragile and visionary, symbolizes what is at stake and what is possible.
Moderated by Eleonora Chioda and Maria Claudia Pignata, the panel was a moment of real exchange and collaboration, driven by a shared urgency to act and innovate.

As part of this collective effort, CarpeCarbon remains committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in clean tech, and to building a future where carbon removal plays a key role in reaching net-zero and beyond.
